Human Trafficking in South Carolina:  The Reality and the Response

Human Trafficking is a crime that is plaguing communities across South Carolina. Often misunderstood, it is important for the public to understand the complexities of the crime, how it can present, and what to do if you suspect you are witnessing it. We will explore the history of human trafficking within a national and state level, define both sex and labor trafficking, describe what we are seeing in our state, and the response taken by the South Carolina Human Trafficking Task Force. The presentation will end with a Q&A opportunity.
